This was a nice project to expand my repertoire. I was commissioned by the king of a large Mardi Gras krewe in Louisiana, called the Krewe Of The Centaur. He needed a livery collar/chain of office and here's what I came up with.
The Phantom Tiara
This amazing Phantom of The Opera themed tiara was commissioned by Empress XXIX, Irina Devaroux, of The Imperial Court of Rhode Island for her step down ball. It was such an opulent evening, perfect in every way, commemorating the completion of a very successful reigne.
A Very Special Custom Order
It was such an honor to have Violet Chachki request a necklace and matching earrings as well as another pair of earrings to go with costumes for her show "A Lot More Me". There was very little time, less than a week, to source out the stones, make them, get them electroplated and shipped to her. All three items took over 18 hours to make and used 21 feet of crystal AB rhinestone chain in addition to the other colors shown.
The Dark Lady Cameo Set
I was showing my work at an event called "The Night Of A Thousand Gowns", an annual event put on by The Imperial Court Of New York, when I met Dusty Balfour. She fell in love with the "Dark Lady Tiara", named for the antique jet relief cameo in the center, and after admiring it for quite sometime she commissioned a brooch and earrings to go with it. Dusty was particularly fond of the gilded angel on the tiara as well so I was sure to include it in the removable dangles of the earrings.
Bella Rose Reynolds-DeLuxe The Empress of The Imperial Court Of Western Massachusetts
This was a particularly fun project, as well as being a great honor. Bella wanted something a little less understated than most Imperial court crowns. I pretty much had free reign with this design as long as I stayed within her budget and it had to include a red crystal rose.
Buddy Bing The Drag King
I was quite honored when approached by New England's premier drag king, Buddy Bing. He requested something in silver, with blue stones and very royal looking. He's quite fond of skulls so I added a few, then I played with his initials by making reverse B's out of rhinestone and incorporated double bumble bees.
The November Rose Tiara
I really enjoyed this project. The request was for a tiara, not more than 6 inches tall, with a crescent moon, a star and a topaz rose. I'd always wanted to make a three dimensional crystal rose but to get it right just intimidated me, now I had to make one and I think it came out quite well.
A Winter Themed Coronet
I was approached by the IPR of the Imperial Court Of Buffalo to do a winter themed coronet. He's partial to blue and it could be no taller than 3 inches. I wish I had better pictures for you but I had to ship it so quickly after it was finished there just wasn't any time.
Crystal And Emerald Demi Parure
This is a commission from someone who found me on Etsy. They were very specific and wanted updates almost daily, I really do enjoy this kind of challenge because it pushes me to go outside of my comfort zone. In the end they said they were very pleased with the result, then they ghosted me. In any case, it didn't take long for this set to sell to someone else so it all worked out in the end. Plus, as you can see in the photo, I got a chance to try it on!
