I must admit I had some fun with this brooch, taking an everyday object and creating an elegant interpretation of it's, often joked about, form. Made of hand laid rhinestones, using the techniques invented in the 1930's, this piece measures 4 1/2 inches from top to bottom. It is signed on the back, and is finished with a 14 karat gold electroplate.
